Founder
She is Dr. Margaret Snowden Evans by purpose, birth, and marriage. She was born, raised, and received early education in a small rural community known as “Chaneyville” in Zachary, LA. Her passion for health and community service has been evident since childhood. Fixing and caring for her dolls, wrapping up the puppies legs, and playing nurse is a childhood past time. Born and purposed with the gift of “healing” or as her mother describes “my baby with healing hands”. Her love for health and medicine was mentored at an early age by her mother, grandmother and great aunt. They taught her about the importance of locally grown herbs and plants but most importantly they taught her about healing with compassion. As she began to embrace her purpose, the natural gift of nurturing and healing was augmented by her formal educational training at Southern University School of Nursing & Graduate School of Nursing (Advanced Practice Nursing) and most recently Southern Adventist University (Doctor of Nursing Practice) with a focus in Lifestyle Therapeutics. Dr. Margaret Evans is one of Louisiana’s best Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioners.

History
True Care LLC (est. in 2010 as an extension of Master & Me Corporation, that serves the residents of Baton Rouge with mental health coaching to teens and adolescents) was birthed in response to desire to provide whole-person care, physical, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We began to provide primary care services via house calls and eventually established a small clinic from home, which still serves to date. As resources and miraculous opportunities presented, we established a satellite clinic within the Berean Wellness Center (2012-2015), dba True Care Health & Wellness Center (TCHWC). TCHWC is a nurse-managed clinic, which provides a wide variety of patient centered holistic primary care. Currently, we maintain our small practice located in the Chaneyville Community, in Zachary, LA and a satellite clinic within the Affordable Pharmacy, located at 1718 North Foster Drive.
